Day Seven: See your choices, stay on plan

 Good morning.

Last night I got a call inviting me to a gala this coming weekend. Immediately I thought of what I would have to wear and got a little down on myself. Honestly, I didn't plan to be wear I am at now in size. However, based on going through my journal and tracking, I am at the same size I was 4 years ago when similar happened. And I met my goal and beyond a year later with full recovery and increased mobility.

So as much as my desire is to try and apply a quick fix to hopefully get me to a "size" I think I can work with, I have all the means available to me now to work with what I already have AND stay on track with my current plan.

Sometimes a part of us wants to step in and make things go faster or thinks it can make things "better", but in truth, it hasn't even seen the current plan through yet to see how things can work out now.

Trust the process.

Play the long game.

Go for the sustainable results.

These are the reminders I am giving to myself. And I plug in these inspiration statements whenever I feel the chatter in my head wanting to take me off path.

I know the plan works. I know the plan had ALREADY worked for me once before, so it will work for me again. It currently is. Including the little tweaks I have added in. Even with the plan of introducing an additional rest day because my sleep has been off.

We'll see what tomorrow looks like as we start week #2.
