Day Two: Measurements and Jump Start
Day Two: Measurements and Jump Start
Although I have been tracking my weight and measurements for a few days, I wanted to post my starting measurements here.
And before I post them, I wanted to make note that I already feel what it feels like to look back on these measurements with gratitude, radiance, empowerment, celebration, compassion, and support. This has not been my first "comeback", but this time I am also able to look further BEYOND the marker of the goal "reached". I am seeing even more clearly into the future of my vision than when I first set out on this journey back in 2006.
My focus at that time 18 years ago was to take care of me, my newborn, and my toddler. It was to heal from the c-section that reopened a couple of times post-op. It was to have the energy and enough nourishment to also nurse the baby. And to be HERE, in my second chance at life after an NDE (Near Death Experience) during the delivery. Basically, to get unstuck and moving forward.
But I could see "her". The "me" that would recover and have both mobility and vitality enough to keep up with two young children. When I looked at myself in the mirror and got myself ready, it was a bit of a struggle, as I could see her and my current self at the time reflecting back to me. I knew the "future" me was already...yet I didn't hold the full gratitude I have now for the one that survived and came back to live her life with fullness, no matter what "she" looked like. I didn't fully "see" the me I was at the time.
That point is the point I am here in this moment to more fully appreciate. I love how I feel in my skin and in certain items in my wardrobe. I feel strong and capable and I know I have fuel for the muscles I am building. My health continues to improve in spite of the major crash out in my iron stores from being thrown off few months ago.
Here are the numbers...(measurements from January 14, 2024)
Weight: 177.4 lbs
Chest/bust (under breasts): 34.5" (above):36.5", (across): 41"
Abdominal measure at belly button: 38"
Arms: 13" (L,R same)
Hips: 43"
Thighs: (@ 6" above kneecap) 24"L,R
Waist (at base of rib cage): 33"
In September when I modeled for a fashion show (and before I really dove into the diet program) I was 161.8lbs, 31.5" waist, 36" across mid, 42" hips.
My goal/intention... reclaim the trajectory I was on in 2021 when I reached 146 lbs, 30" waist, 34.5" abdomen, and 39.5" hips. My siight is set long term though. I know I can have this and even better. And it begins now.
And part of that beginning is ALSO going back into my journals and tracking and seeing what my journey and mindset looked like. I know that there was a major life event that occurred in 2021 that took my focus off of my physical goals...
I also started on the Jumpstart protocol I followed 10 years ago with Dax Moy. I'm interested in seeing how this works for my body. So far so good and very manageable with the way that I have modified the sets.
Now that I got that done for the day, I can focus in on actionables for my business.
