Day Twenty-Three: On the other side

Day Twenty-Three: On the other side

Well! That week of fasting was quite the journey. I had to just surrender to the process. I went from 175 to 162 on the scale and shifted a few inches.

Now, what does that look like on the other side?

Knowing that my glycogen stores in my muscles were depleted and I targeted inflammation, much of the "loss" in the numbers on the scale would reflect that. That's why it is not the only "measure" by which you would want to use for your progress.

Water consumption has increased, workouts have regained, which means I will also be experiencing inflammation as a healing response to working out. Also, I have had a regular and smooth bowel movement yet, although stuff is still moving. Until the consistent flow of exercise is happening in a way that will move the needle, I am going to remain on track with how I am currently eating, which is in a 3 hour window mainly, and keeping things low carbs/keto.

It's good to be in this range of eating low carb and elimination diet style to align with the goals I have set for myself. My current goal is to continue to use up as much of this stored fat for energy so that I can have more confidence in my wardrobe again.

I really like to feel somewhat lean in my body. I like when my clothes sit on my body nicely. I am going to allow myself to feel into that even more deeply now...as it comes and as it is here.

I'm going to focus more on the metrics of my working out now. I will continue to track weight and inches, but I need to get the reps, sets, and weight increase going if I want to reshape my body at this time.

The good news is, I feel most energized right now and it really feels good. Going to lean more into magnesium over iron. I will alternate the days I take them.

Now forward on I go.
